Welcome to Peaceful Solutions Mediation

Mediation is a problem solving process in which an impartial and neutral person acts to facilitate and encourage the resolution to a dispute. It is an informal and non-adversarial process intended to help parties reach a MUTUALLY ACCEPTABLE AGREEMENT where all parties win.

Mediation is based on the concepts of negotiation, facilitation and problem solving and emphasizes fairness, procedural flexibility, confidentiality, full disclosure, along withneeds and interests of the parties involved.

Mediation is an alternative way to address many issues outside of the court system. Peaceful Solutions Mediation offers this service for construction disputes, all aspects of family law and workplace and employment issues.

Family issues are especially suited for mediation as it  is private, confidential, usually quicker  and designed to resolve sensitive issues in a manner that is least damaging to all members of a family.  A neutral third party is an excellent resource in matters of divorce, paternity, visitation, child support, parenting disputes, property settlements, alimony and elder issues.

Many construction/building/remodeling disputes could benefit from early intervention with a neutral party to facilitate discussion, communication, realistic expectations and to  avoid continuing misunderstanding and conflict.

People spend over one third of their waking hours at work.  It is beneficial to all parties to have an open, communicative, problem solving system with a neutral third party readily accessible to deal with issues quickly, sensitively, and confidentially.

Arbitration is a legal technique for the resolution of disputes outside the courts, wherein the parties to a dispute refer it to one or more persons"), by whose decision (the "award") they agree to be bound. The simplest explanation is to say arbitration is a form of binding dispute resolution, equivalent to litigation in the courts, and entirely distinct from the various forms of non-binding dispute resolution, such as negotiation, mediation, or non-binding determinations by experts.

Arbitration is today most commonly used for the resolution of commercial disputes, particularly in the context of international commercial transactions, construction disputes and sometimes used to enforce credit obligations.
